Which D2 Survivors is which

I opened the official site, two GitHub repositories, and a guide-site comparison. A fourth name, StratoCares, showed up only in an earlier note. GitHub search returned no repository, so it stays a footnote.

Projects with a page you can open

Download only from the page the author actually publishes. A language add-on that asks for developer mode can read the page it is attached to. Read that permission before you click. Saves are not shared between these projects.

Guide sites are not the game

d2survivors.com, d2survivors.org, and d2survivors.wiki publish articles. They are not the installer. Some of their sentences are older than changelog.json. The Linux line on d2survivors.org that says there is no Linux app is one of those. The official download page lists a Linux AppImage beta.

StratoCares was named in an earlier research note as a browser mod. On 2026-10-28 I could not find a project page, and a GitHub search returned zero repositories. It is not a fourth verified row.

Is the GitHub Windows build the same app?

No. zombodotcom/d2survivors-releases is a separate launcher. The repo does not connect it to the official download.

Should I install a random zip?

No. Use the official download page, or a repository whose author page you can read. This site does not host game files.
