I read the official homepage, the FAQ, changelog.json through build 20261027.4, and the public leaderboard panel generated at 2026-10-28T02:02:40Z. I did not invent a price, a class list, or a player count.

What d2 survivors is

D2 Survivors, also searched as diablo 2 survivors and d2survivors, is a survivors-like set in the world of Diablo II. You pick a hero, walk, and skills cast themselves. Each level offers a card. A run covers five acts, then Nightmare and Hell.

The game people mean by those names is the one at d2survivors.lol. The letters lol are the top-level domain, not a joke. This guide uses that site, its FAQ, its changelog, and its leaderboards as the primary record.

Free, and you still need Diablo II files

The official FAQ says the game is free, with no ads, no purchases, and no locked content. A Ko-fi tip does not unlock anything inside the game. Checked 2026-10-28 on the FAQ and the legal page.

You bring your own Diablo II plus Lord of Destruction patch 1.14, or Diablo II: Resurrected. The game reads art and sound from those files on your machine. It does not upload them. There is no separate free copy of those files on this site.

Browser, Windows, Mac, and Linux

You can open it in a desktop browser, or install the app: Windows 10/11 x64 (beta), macOS on Apple silicon, and Linux x64 as an AppImage (beta), including Steam Deck. The download page lists about 1.5 GB of free disk for the app. The first launch unpacks once, about a minute and a half, then the app can run offline and updates itself.

The leaderboard panel I checked listed 208,891 submitted runs and 49,433 players, with flagged runs at 0. That is a count of submitted runs, not a census of everyone who installed the game, and not a win rate.

Questions

Is D2 Survivors free?

Yes. The official FAQ says there are no ads, no purchases, and no locked content. Ko-fi tips do not change the game.

Can I play without Diablo II files?

No. You need Diablo II: Lord of Destruction 1.14 or Diablo II: Resurrected. Hosted copies of the game files are being removed.

Is there a phone version?

The official FAQ says not now. The changelog still records phone fixes, so the two statements do not match. See the platforms page.
